CHRISTMAS DAY

We declare to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life - this life was revealed, and we have seen it and testify to it, and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us - we declare to you what we have seen and heard so that you also may have fellowship with us; and rule our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.  We are writing these things so that our joy may be complete. (1 John 1.1-4)

When You said ‘Seek My face’,
my heart said to You
‘Your face, O Lord, I shall seek’
Psalm 27.8

May we ask for the Grace that we will be enabled to see in a way that helps us focus on the face of the Living Light in this day.

May we seek and find ways in which we may consecrate this day in small acts of creativity, whether we lift a camera, cook a meal, take a walk, or bestow a kiss.

May we find ways in which we can testify to what we have seen, looked at and allowed to touch us in return, so that the joy of others might be increased from this day forward.

With all blessings to you this Christmas Day.

Wring out my clothes
Such love does

the sky now pour,
that whenever I stand in a field,

I have to wring out the light
when I get
home.

St Francis of Assisi / Daniel Ladinsky
